Wow has our little baby changed...I know I say it every month, but I just can't get over how much she has grown!
Here's Elise's latest and greatest:
-She is crawling...she went to tottering on her hands and knees, to inchworming, to full fledge crawling within a matter of days. She now is all over the place finding all sorts of interesting things to play with!
-Elise can also get to a seated position on her own now. She tends to go from her back, to her side (by posing on her elbow), to full fledge sitting up. She is so happy with herself! In fact, whenever she wakes up from sleeping and we go in to get her, she is already sitting up waiting for us. She also figured out while in Cincinnati that if she moved her bumper pads she could peek at Mommy & Daddy while they were sleeping. She would squeal with delight and have such a cute toothy grin when she would spot us, even if it was 2 in the morning!
- Elise is pulling herself up on her toys, boxes, chairs, and anything that she seems to get a good grip on.
- Elise went from having 3 teeth to 7 teeth all within a matter of weeks. She has 3 lower teeth and all 4 middle upper teeth. Her excessive drool has slowed for a few days, but we're expecting it to start back up soon so the fourth bottom tooth can make its debut.
- Elise continues to be a very good eater. She has been exposed to tons of puree food, and now seems to have a preference for fruits. We've been trying to get her to eat her veggies, which she will eat the orange veggies like carrots & sweet potatoes, but she will not eat green peas/green beans/garden variety. She get's a sour puss look on her face and gags the second she realizes what we have tried to sneak into her mouth
- Elise is also eating finger foods. Her little pinchers are working wonderfully. She's able to get the puffs into her mouth rather consistantly (assuming that they don't get stuck to her hand before they make it into her mouth)
- Elise loves to read, but she screams if we don't let her put the book in her mouth. To solve this little dilemma, Elise received a few cloth books for Christmas so that all her nice board books aren't all gummed.
- Elise loves taking a bath. She splashes and screams to her hearts content. If we let her, I bet that she could stay in the bath for hours just playing!
- Elise is very interested in her tongue. She always has her tongue out of her mouth...we've even joked that she's going to need chapstick on of these days!
